Behind The Scenes : Sketchbook VI

September 9, 2015

It's been a while since my last sketchbook post and since finishing The 100 Day Project I've missed the creative accountability that came with posting a weekly round-up here. I'm thinking of doing something similar by posting a weekly sketchbook share, even if all I manage that week is a page of doodles. My hope is that this will help build creative courage and momentum which I can continue to learn and grow from. In the meantime here are a couple of recent gouache drawings. A medium fairly new to me and one I'm really enjoying, especially the flat matte finish and how easy it is to draw over with pencil. I plan to continue experimenting with gouache, and I'm curious to learn more about dry brushing. Stick around to see where it leads!
