Evie Barrow is an artist and illustrator passionate about artful picture books for both kids and adults. Her hand-drawn style celebrates the textures and imperfections made by hand.
Her contemporary textile characters which are also handcrafted, have featured in many publications, including the cover of Frankie magazine's first craft book, A Little Bit Crafty.
Inspired by the saturated colour palette of the Mallee landscape where she once lived, daily life, the handmade, outliers and mid-century illustration.
When she’s done sharpening pencils and untangling thread she enjoys watching Nordic Noir and Wes Anderson movies, reading and walking around the Melbourne neighbourhood where she now lives.
