Evie Barrow is addicted to illustration and is passionate about artful picture books for both kids and adults. Working traditionally she is inspired by the saturated colour of the mallee landscape where she once lived, daily life, outliers, eccentrics and mid century illustration.
As an artist and illustrator, she has collaborated on various projects with Penguin Random House Australia, Craft Victoria, Michi Girl and Freedom. Her handcrafted, contemporary textile characters have featured in many publications, including the cover of Frankie magazine's first craft book, A Little Bit Crafty.
When she’s done sharpening pencils and untangling thread she enjoys watching nordic noir and Wes Anderson movies, reading and taking walks around the Melbourne neighbourhood where she now lives, with her husband and their eleven year old cat.
Her art prints, original illustrated artworks and handmade textiles are currently available at eviebarrow.etsy.com
