Ann Wood is someone I've admired for a long time. I can't remember if it was her tactile soft sculptures, a paper horse tutorial or her delightful bower-bird-esque apartment that I saw first but every time I catch a glimpse of Ann's creative world I'm drawn in. Recently she released a sewing pattern of a lamb and goat that I simply couldn't resist. After all, I'm a Capricorn girl so the goat won me over in a flash. The thing is I work rather intuitively when it comes to sewing characters so I was a little daunted by the thought of following a pattern. However I needn't have worried, the instructions were really clear with lots of accompanying images. The trickiest part for me was the underbelly just because it gets a little fiddly but deep breaths and a slow pace did the trick. I think she's adorable. Now to find time to make that little lamb.
